Terms of Service

Version 1.0 Β· Last updated 1 October 2026

1. Who we are

Koala Service is a trading name operated by εŒ—δΊ¬θ€ƒζ‹‰η†Šη§‘ζŠ€ζœ‰ι™ε…¬εΈ, based in Beijing, China. (This is the company's registered name in Chinese; it has no official English name.) When you order from us, your contract is with εŒ—δΊ¬θ€ƒζ‹‰η†Šη§‘ζŠ€ζœ‰ι™ε…¬εΈ ("we", "us", "Koala Service").

2. What we do

We provide supplier sourcing services for businesses buying from China:

  • Supplier Search Report (AUD $499) β€” 3–5 shortlisted supplier profiles for one product category, delivered within 48 hours of a confirmed brief.
  • Sourcing Project (AUD $1,999) β€” sampling follow-up, negotiation, one pre-shipment inspection and freight-forwarder handover.
  • Pre-shipment inspections β€” independent inspection with photo reports.
  • Managed Procurement (AUD $990/month) β€” ongoing sourcing support.

What our checks cover: at the date of our report, we have checked the supplier's registered business identity against available official records and completed direct contact verification. Our checks do not constitute a factory audit, financial audit, product certification or guarantee of future performance. See how we verify.

3. Our role β€” sourcing agent only

We act strictly as your sourcing agent. You are the importer of record for any goods you purchase. We never take title to goods, never act as importer of record, and purchase funds always flow directly between you and the supplier, freight provider or customs broker β€” never through us. We only ever receive our own service fees.

4. Orders and payment

  • Prices are in Australian dollars (AUD).
  • No Australian GST is currently charged β€” Koala Service is not registered for Australian GST.
  • The Supplier Search Report fee is payable in full before work begins.
  • We will issue a company invoice for every order.

5. Delivery

Delivery times are counted in Australian eastern business days from the moment your brief is confirmed (i.e. we have everything we marked as necessary to begin). Public holidays in Australia, and Chinese public holidays announced to you in advance, pause the clock.

6. Refunds

Our refund commitments are set out in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: if we can't identify at least 3 suppliers meeting the criteria agreed with you before work began, we refund the report fee in full.

7. Your responsibilities

  • Provide an accurate, complete brief. We search against the brief you confirm; errors in the brief are not grounds for rework at our cost.
  • As importer of record, you are responsible for Australian import compliance β€” customs declarations (via your licensed customs broker), biosecurity requirements, product standards and safety obligations for your product category.
  • You decide whether to engage any supplier we introduce. Our recommendation is professional advice, not a guarantee.

8. Estimates, not guarantees

Supplier pricing in our reports is indicative, based on written quotations at the report date. Landed-cost figures are estimates based on information available at the time; final duties, taxes, port charges, inspection fees and other third-party charges may vary. We coordinate with licensed Australian customs brokers on your behalf; we are not a customs broker.

9. Liability

We provide our services with due care and skill. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • our total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the fees you paid us for the service giving rise to the claim;
  • we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law (or any other law) that cannot be excluded, restricted or modified.

10. Disputes

If something goes wrong, contact us at [email protected] first β€” most issues are resolved within a few days. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force at the time you place your order applies to that order. Material changes will be noted with a new version number and date above.
